Happy Birthday Baby Girl
>
My little sparkler baby will be turning 1 on July 4th. I am sad that she is growing up so fast, but what a little lady she turning into and can't wait to see what the years bring!!
Trip to Connecticut
Over this past weekend, Chiki went to a Malaysian wedding in Connecticut. He took bunches of pictures and had a great time with some old pals from the Navy. None of the wifey's attended, but move over boys ... we are all over the NYC trip in January!! Anyhow, the wedding ceremony was 1 1/2 hours long, and involved lots of yelling and drinking. In the Malaysian culture, the bride sits at the alter with the her mother while the groom walks down the isle with a candle lit bouquet. Chiki said there was lots of interesting food (there is a good possibility he may have eaten an eyeball, but is not 100% sure), lots of culture, and tons of fun. Just in case you are all wondering what me and the little girlies did while he was gone, we had a blast. We did mud volleyball, and spent lots of time at the pool. Although we had lots of fun, we are HAPPY that Chiki is back. I don't have pictures of the mud volleyball but here are some pictures from Chiki's trip.
The funny things kids say
HANNAH
The other day me and the girls went to Pier1. While walking around, Hannah blurted out "that lady has a big butt." She was referring to the larger woman who was walking in front of us. I was so mortified and the only thing I could think of was saying back to her was, yes those mirrors are really big. I guess we are in need of a talk about when and where is the right place to state our opinions.

Riding bikes
YEAH, it's bike time. For those of you who have a buggy to cart the kiddies around in, you know how difficult it can be at times to keep going. A few years back, me and Chiki decided to head up to Copper Mountain/Vail area for a bike ride. To our surprise the first part of the ride was nothing but uphill switchbacks. Poor Chiki was pulling the buggy behind me and I swear each time I looked back to check on him, he looked like he was going to roll back. It took us 45 minutes to get up to the summit, and an entire 10 minutes to get back down. We always laugh when thinking about that bike ride!!
