Great Weekend

Grandpa and grandma came from Utah, to spend Memorial weekend with me and the girls. Unfortunately, Chiki had to work. The first night they were here, we took the girls to the park. Maybe one of these days Hannah will realize that she could go lots higher if she would pump her legs. The next day we took the girls to the Bass Pro where Hannah refused to feed the fish because that would intel of her holding a worm. What can I say ... I guess she learned that one from me. Sunday, we took the girls to the Boulder Creek Festival. Every Memorial Day the city Boulder holds this race called the Boulder Boulder. They hold a festival the entire weekend to celebrate the run, along with the start of summer. There were so many people there, along with weird smells. We had lots of fun, but couldn't wait to get away from nondeodorant wearing hippies. Thanks for coming out grandpa and grandma!

Please mom, can we have a pony??

Saturday, was the annual Thorntonfest. Per request, the first thing we did was head over to the pony rides. The girls had so much fun. Since Nanners is the big girl she is these days, she rode all by herself. This was Olivia's 1st pony ride, and she giggled the entire time. My girls are so cute!!

The new kite

A couple of weeks ago, it was quite windy outside and so Chiki and I thought it would be fun to run to the store and buy a kite for Hannah. We talked it up and got her so excited. Oddly enough, all of the stores we visited that day were out of kites. So finally a few days ago, we were able to buy her a fish kite and then come home and fly it. Hannah was so proud to be flying her kite all by herself with all of the other kite fliers. Oh, my CUTE little 3 year old

Hold that pose

Olivia is so close to walking, but yet so far away. She will stand up in the middle of room all by herself, and will hold that pose for minutes. When she gets tired, Olivia will then sit down. I know I will miss little moves like this, once she does start to walk.

Becoming one with the fish

So, I have been reading up on animals Chiki and I are going to see while scuba diving in Key Largo and this is just one of which we are up against http://static.flickr.com/58/199386741_21f7a5df7b_b.jpg. Check it out. I can't help but be slightly freaked out. This particular fish is supposedly the size of a small coupe. No matter what we see ... it is going to be awesome!!

Olivia was having a "poopy" day.  This was so nasty, I couldn't help but share

The girls love going to the park.  We have to go practically everyday.  Hannah is a little daredevil on all of the toys, and Olivia tries to keep up.   They especially like to swing.  Chiki and I are trying to teach Hannah how to pump her legs so she can go "higher" but so far she would rather someone else do all the work.  Olivia on the other hand, lets out a giggle with each push.
