Why Wait ...

Most parents make their kids wait until they are at least 16, to drive. Not me and Chiki. Why wait ... the sooner they drive the sooner they can get a job. Just kidding girls. We definitely won't want to rush the driving issue. Until that day comes, we will let them play in go karts!!

Total Devastation

This past weekend, Red Bull sponsored a soap box race. For those of you who have heard of this event, or even have had the opportunity to see one know exactly how exciting this looks. Chiki and I had talked about attending ever since we found out it was headed to Denver. The races were scheduled to begin at noon on saturday. Hannah had a soccer game before and so we decided we would high tell it to Red Rocks right afterwards. We had only been in the car for 25 minutes, when we started to approach "the crowd." After finding a parking space out in the boonies, we began our hike up the hill to Red Rocks. This hill was pretty steep but didn't matter to me ... I was so excited to see the races.

We hadn't even been walking 10 minutes, when we were approached by some other people who were walking down the hill. Apparently, there were so many people crammed into the Red Rocks area, they were no longer letting people in. My heart totally dropped to the ground. I was so sad.

With our smiles now gone, Chiki and I turned back and began our sad journey back to the car. Can you say total devastation.

October

PUMPKIN PATCHES are always lots of fun. Fun for the young, and fun for the old. While Olivia was trying to carry each one around, Hannah thought it would be a great photo opportunity.

LITTLE SHOP 'O' HOLIC ... My girls run towards the mini shopping carts, whenever available. They look so cute, trying to fill them up. Little Miss Livi even giggles from beginning to end because she is overwhelmed with joy. Oh, the simple things in life!!

What Not To Wear

What Not To Wear. Have any of you seen this show? Until recently, I have not been able to get into it. I have started to watch it for some much needed fashion advice. Are any of you feeling like this ... I am almost 28 and so I shouldn't be wearing graphic tee's anymore, butty shorts were never my thing, nor polyester or elastic waist pants. I should no longer wear what the teens are wearing, but I am no where near ready to wear what my grandmother is wearing (grandma I love you :)).

PLEASE someone ... I am begging you. Turn me in to this show. I don't mind if you secretly follow me around with a camera, nor do I mind if you want to knit pick my wardrobe. Do what you have to do in order to get me on. Ha ha. No seriously, if any of you have any fashion advise that you would like to share ... I would greatly appreciate it.

Having Too Much Fun

Ok, so apparently we were having so much fun that I spaced adding a new and final post for Nanner's 4th birthday. My sweet parents came out from Utah, to help celebrate and the girls couldn't have been more excited. Hannah kept insisting that she have a Chukee Cheese birthday, and so that is where we headed for the day. Perfect planning on her part, because it poured rain all afternoon. We ate lots of pizza, and played lots of games. After that, we came home and ate some yummy ice cream cake (a favorite at the Carbajal house), and painted pumpkins. All in all, every one of us had a GREAT time and we owe it all to Hannah!!

I cannot even begin to express how much I love that little girl, and I am so grateful that she is here in my life. She has already touched so many peoples lives and I am sure there are many more to come. We love you HANNAH and hope that you had a great day!!

One More Day ...

Hannah was a super busy girl last year. Between gymnastics class, visiting cousin Allie in Portland, going to the lake, getting pampered, and of course the biggest event of all ... becoming a BIG SISTER!! Speaking of, Hannah is the best big sister. She is always making sure that "sister" is alright and is always updating me on her status. I appreciate what a little helper she is, and love how she is always keeping me company.

2 Down and 2 More To Go

Day 2 of the birthday countdown. Hannah did lots between the ages of 1 and 2, and it is so hard trying to narrow down the pictures. She was such an easy, social child that we were hardly limited to activities. Trips to the zoo, pumpkin patches, Aspen, Aunt Kim & Uncle Jer's wedding, Water World, bike rides .... you name it, we did it all and enjoyed every single minute.

Herdball Season

Herdball season has officially begun. I have to admit that this is one of the funniest things that I have ever witnessed. Each of the kids try so hard, and are so excited to have any sort of contact with the ball. Even if they are headed in the wrong direction. After watching Hannah lay on the ground to make angels, during her first practice ... I admit that I was a tiny bit skeptical, but she has definitely surprised me and has even scored a few goals. Hannah is quite the soccer player, and Olivia is quite the little cheerleader. Thanks Hannah for the new saturday morning activity. We have a BLAST watching you!!

Count Down to 4

Since my little Hannah Banana is going to be turning 4 in a few days, I thought that it would be fun add a new post about her each day until her birthday.

Where to begin ... Hannah was such a surprise, but what a GREAT surprise! She has had such a spunky personality, since day 1 and has yet to leave us with a dull moment. Hannah has always been such a well mannered, good little girl and I cannot imagine my life without her.

Here are some of our favorite pictures throughout her first year:
