I know, I know ... totally looks like she got beat up. It was lovely. After much scrubbing, we were able to get a big portion of it off, but she did have to sport it in her eyelashes and eyebrows for a few days The best part, was seeing her face right after she had done it. Olivia was so proud and acted like she had done nothing wrong. Boy, is she lucky a that all I wanted to do was laugh and take pictures.

Make Up Artist
I totally almost spaced posting about a little make up incident that happened with Olivia, while at my parent's house. Long story short, Olivia just happens to be the biggest snoop and into and onto everything. One morning, I took the girls into the playroom, turned on some cartoons, and headed for the shower. My shower couldn't have taken any longer then 10 minutes. When I got out, I ran into the playroom to check on the ladies. Neither were in there. I ran upstairs to find Olivia rounding the corner with some of my mom's semi permanent lip gloss, all over her face. Apparently, Olivia had at some point watched my mom put on her make up and had decided that she also wanted to "put" a little make up of her own on.

Did You Say 30?
That's right ... Chiki turned the BIG 30 on the 14th of June. Since our schedules have been so crazy, he didn't want a party. Per request ... an activity with just "him and his girls!" We forgot to download the pictures of the big day, and at the moment Chiki is on his way to New Jersey with the camera so we will have to tell you all about it when he gets back.
Anyhow, Chiki I just wanted to let you know how much I love you! You fill my days with laughter ... crying (from laughing)... and even more laughter. You know how to figure most anything out - especially if there are numbers involved. You are a great dad - your little girls worship the ground you walk on. Did I mention you make me laugh - haha?? No really, you are the best darn husband a girl could ask for, and I appreciate all you do for me and the little ladies.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY! We love you!!
Wasn't he HANDSOME in his uniform!

Doing what he does best
Nifty Fifty
My mom turned the nifty fifty on June 8th. She is a GREAT mom and we were so excited to be able to celebrate the big birthday with her. Thanks mom for being an awesome mom and grandma, for lending an ear and a shoulder to cry on, and for being the great friend that you are to me. Hope you enjoyed your day!!
Instead of a cake, we went to Coldstone. It was yummy!
Did I mention how yummy Coldstone was!!
We made my mom ride the bull at Texas Roadhouse on her birthday.
Trippin Around
WOW - I have been needing to do some updating. Chiki & I have had so much going on this past month that instead of getting on the ball with some pics for you all ... I let myself get overwhelmed.
Chiki & I were invited to go with some friends to Vegas, the last weekend in May. We always hunger for travel, so we couldn't resist the offer. My great parents watched the little ladies while we were gone, and thank goodness. I don't have the desire to take them to Vegas anytime soon. I have always known that it wasn't the cleanest place, but come on ... we witnessed so many nasty things this time around. One girl continuously puked on the carpet after drinking too much and after each episode would turn back to her "fellow" and make out, we were offered many different types of drugs, me & another girl were exposed to, and while my friend was waiting near the front desk at Ceasar's was approached by some random dude and asked how much. The filth of Las Vegas really shined this trip.
We did enjoy the pool, the yummy dessert at the Patisserie in the Bellagio, and I got a great handbag in the forum shops.
Doesn't it look yummy - it was absolutely DELISH!
Don't get me wrong, it was nice to get away but next time ... if there is a next time for Vegas ... we definitely won't be staying for 5 days. 3 days max and that will include travel time haha.
After Vegas, Chiki flew back to Colorado and me back to Utah to celebrate my mom's BIG 50 birthday with the girls. We stayed there for about 1 week, and I must apologize. I always go to Utah with the intention of trying to go see everyone, but once I get to Utah ... slacker mode kicks in and all I want to do is relax.
Anyhow, it was nice to see the little ladies again. We "tried" to play outside with all of the crappy rain, we ate lots of shaved ices (tigers blood rules), did a little shopping, went to the airshow at Hill and fried the crap out of our skin while watching the Thunderbirds (Chiki you would have loved it), and did lots of hanging out with the famillia. Cousin Austin ... we had so much fun with you!
This is cousin Austin ... isn't he cute and not to mention a handsome little fellow

Poor Nanner's
Poor Nanner's
We decided to spend Memorial weekend in Montrose. For those of you who don't know where that is located ... it is about one hour south of Grand Junction, Colorado. We had a nice, relaxing time there hanging out with Chiki's family, friends, and fly fishing (future post).
Anyhow, Sunday rolled around and since Chiki & I were going to be running the Bolder Boulder Monday, we had to leave. We decided to take a more scenic route on the way home that passed just west of Aspen. We were all enjoying the ride and the breath taking views, when I came up with the "brilliant" idea to get out of the car and check out a waterfall. Chiki & I spent minutes getting the little ladies shoes and socks back on, along with their jackets. We crossed the street and took in the waterfall, walked back thru all of the mud to get back to the car, where the scene of the crime occurred. As I opened the car door for Nanner's to get back into the car, she happened to turn her head just right and bashed right into edge of the door. At first sight, I thought she had just got a little scratch. At second glance ... I realized that she had some white stuff showing and had punched a hole through all layers of her skin in the middle of her forehead.
Since we were in the middle of the mountains, I threw myself into panic mode. All the while Chiki was trying to keep Hannah calm. We whipped out out little handy, dandy GPS to search for the nearest emergency room.
The drive to the hospital in Glenwood Springs was about 20 minutes away, so we put a band aid over the hole. It wasn't bleeding but she thinks band aids make everything better, so we put one on to comfort her.
Hannah was such a trooper. She hardly cried, never complained of her head hurting, and continued to play while in the waiting room at the hospital. To make a long story short ... after waiting over 4 hours of no one being called back, Livi having a break down because there was no food in the vending machine/ cafeteria closed at 1pm,and the life flight bringing in a new patient ... we consulted with a nurse who said that we would be OK if we were to take her back up to the Children's Hospital in Denver.
Hannah ended up not having to get stitches and was able to have her forehead glued. Sorry no pics, but she is doing great and has more energy then ever. Who ever said that we wouldn't have to worry about all the broken bones and many trips to the hospital because we don't have boys?

My Little Performer
This past weekend, Hannah got the chance to perform at Thorntonfest. She had been talking about that day for sometime, and when it finally rolled around ... she was beyond excited. This was Hannah's first time dancing in front of people, and she did great.
I couldn't get the video to upload thru blogger so you will have click on the link below if you would like to check it out. Make sure you click on the video option
Can you tell by the way Hannah moves her hips, that she is has some Latino blood in her?? Shake it baby, shake it!!
Posers
My kiddos are the biggest "posers" sometimes.
Each thursday, when Hannah gets ready for dance class ... Olivia also insists on putting on a leotard. The only thing, is that she REFUSES to wear it any other way then on top of her clothing. More likely then not, this is how we leave the house. My little "posers" totally crack me up!!
